The Portugal Golden Visa program has become one of the most popular ways for foreign investors to gain residency in the European Union. This program, which was first introduced in 2012, has seen thousands of applicants from around the world take advantage of the opportunity to purchase property in Portugal and gain residency.

The Portuguese government has recently announced plans to make the Portugal Golden Visa even more attractive for foreign investors. Starting in 2023, the government will offer two different Golden Visa programs to those who invest in Portugal: the regular Golden Visa, and the Golden Visa Plus. 

The regular Portugal Golden Visa requires an investment of at least €280,000 in property or €350,000 in venture capital. This investment will earn the investor a five-year residency visa that can be renewed after five years.

The Portugal Golden Visa Plus requires a larger investment of at least €500,000 in property or €350,000 in venture capital. In exchange, investors will receive additional benefits and incentives, such as tax breaks, reduced administrative costs, and increased access to financial services. They will also have access to Portuguese health care and education services, as well as the right to live and work in Portugal.

The maximum investment for the Portugal Golden Visa Plus program is €1,000,000. This will provide the investor with a lifetime residency visa.

The Portugal Golden Visa Plus program is expected to attract more foreign investors to Portugal. The government hopes that this will help to further develop the Portuguese economy and create new jobs.
